Non-emergent help needed...# of masses

Hi!

I know the rule is no more than twice daily communion and thus my question…
Yesterday I went to 4 PM mass becuase it was at the end of my retreat day and the bishop was coming. I knew I HAD to go to my own Parish today for 9 AM Mass because I had to lector. BUT my husnad ahdn 2 of my sons did not attend due to other things and are going to 6 PM Mass today. I REALLY would like to go woth them because I have grown to love celebrating mass together. Is this considered a third time becuase it si 3 celebrations of the same Mass? Or is it a time frame thing?

No. It is not a third time it is a second time today. The retreat mass was not today, it was yesterday.

even if it were a third time, you could still attend Mass. You would simply refrain from receiving the Eucharist.
