What if how you get that is by becoming part of Jesus’ family (His lineage)?
What if being related to Jesus also means being related to everyone who is related to Jesus - like having Mary as our mother, and having Peter’s successor as our chief shepherd?
But (no offense) neither has its clergy sexually abused children.
The point being that statistically a multimillion person church will have outliers in behaviour that a 300 person church will not.
Both ways.
BTW…the testimony of Pope JP and Mother Teresa were instrumental in convincing me that the Catholic Church is not the Great Satan and Harlot of Babylon some trump it up to be.
When I was an Elder in a 400-person congregation, we were just thanking God that nobody from the news was looking our way, and that most of our congregation members were as naïve as kittens, because you wouldn’t believe what some of our clergy and Sunday School teachers got up to, when they didn’t think anyone was watching.
Everybody criticizes the Catholic Church for trying to shuffle those people under the rug, but that’s exactly what we did - we showed them the door, told them never to return, and told everyone that they had suddenly had a too-good-to-pass-up job offer in Timbuktu or somewhere.
But we didn’t have any corrollary Mother Teresas among us, though. Just the sinners and the moderates.
