Dear Sir or Madam:
I have a sort of odd question. Everyone has pet peves and such, but mine is the off the cuff mention that we Catholics have at times as classifying those who no longer practive the faith as “non-practicing Catholics.” To me, it is like saying you are a non-practicing Christian. It is just not possible be.
We have come to use the “non-practicing” terminology so often that we have forgotten what it means to be Catholic, so how can one be a non-practicing Catholic and still be Catholic?
Thanks
