I cam across this article on Catholic Exchange about non sequitur arguments people make about the Catholic Church. This article does a great job of condensing a lot of the fallacies I hear in the news and around the web.

For those who do not know, a non sequitur is a statement where the ending doesn’t have any relationship to the beginning. It comes from Latin meaning “does not follow.” You hear these all the time when people make a statement and then draw conclusions that have nothing to do with that statement.
