Why would it be selfish? You got pregnant. That’s a blessing. Let’s just say you die at age eighty, that puts your child at almost thirty. My dad was that age when his father died (He died young) and my father has been fine. You don’t need to worry about causing terrible psychological effects because of this.

I didnt mean I got pregnant by mistake, I mean I would like to get pregnant now and trying to be seems selfish and not fair to the child I may concieve because of my and my husband’s age
