Not stupid; misguided, perhaps. I cannot speak to the validity of these particular quotes, but DPRK tightly controls the messages their people are allowed to hear. There is much going on around the world, yes; but NK is the government that unsettles me most.

While it is a work of fiction, Pulitzer Prize winner ‘The Orphan Master’s Son’ by Adam Johnson is one of the most powerful books I’ve ever read. As a trauma narrative, it paints a visceral experience of North Korea.

Actually, the first item (the “nerd prom”) seems pretty accurate. I saw the term “nerd prom” actually used in the U.S. mainstream media. And who can doubt that the mainstream media had been wooed and bought, body and soul, by this administration?

Honestly, I think this may be a joke feed, an “Onion”-style source lampooning Kim Jong-porky and his country’s ideas of “news.”
