What does the Catholic Church think of Nostradamus and his predictions & prophecies?

Any help you can give me on this subject will be greatly appreciated, as some of my family have been watching his film and documentaries,

I don’t think the Church has any official position.
I bought a book of his supposed prophesies several years ago, most of the film and documentary “evidence” was bogus. They claim, xyz, but in actuality xyz, are not in his writings. Every earth shattering prophesy was hype.

The film and “documentaries” are entertainment. Not true.

Yeah, if you actually read any of his works you will find that most of the documentaries have twisted them to mean things they were not meant to. If, and this is a big IF, there is/was anything to Nostradamus, most of it makes me think of things that happened long ago, and not the future. I.E. one about a horde coming out of the east makes me think of the Mongols.
Quite frankly, I think he was a hoax, though he was a brilliant doctor, compared to those of his time. The only real reason that his prophises might be of use today is to try and find an insight into the medieval mind.
