Some Evil can bring us back to God.

There are many examples of this in life and scriptures…

No, evil is always bad. However, evil can (and does) bring about greater good. The crucifixion of the Son of God was a great evil, however, the fact it forgives our sins is a great good.

No. All evil is evil. However, it is true that that there is a lesser of two evils.

But just because one evil is lesser than another evil doesn’t condone the evil.

You cannot morally chose the lesser of two evils because you are still choosing evil

I think I understand what you’re driving at — that God can draw straight with crooked lines?

Not that we can ever condone evil, but we know that healing is possible?

That God is stronger than our mistakes.

Evil is evil is evil. Make no mistake about it. One can’t take a “ nuanced “ view of evil. There is no grey. However, yes: God can make good come out of evil. But that doesn’t excuse us from our responsibility when making evil choices and doing evil acts.

Evil is evil. Let us not complicate it. The “evil one” introduced the concept of complexity to human life. Far better to follow the example of our perfectly simple God who created all things in simplicity, intending for them to remain that way.

However, God alone can bring good from the evil. We see it perhaps as a recovery process, but if no good comes from evil, then the fault lies with us.

Yes, and no. As others have said evil is bad…or else it wouldn’t be called evil, right? 😀

Anyway though, yes, because evil can teach us one important lesson, to hate evil, and therefore to run to the good, the ultimate Good being God. We’re here to develop a hunger and thirst for righteousness in a world that often lacks it, due to the will of man running the show. We’re here to learn that Adam was wrong in his choice, of disbelieving and disobeying God so that we may come to know and believe in Him again, as Jesus reveals Him to us, and so enter communion with Him, ‘apart from whom we can do nothing’, (John 15:5). Because apart from Him we tend towards evil ourselves.

Genocide is evil.

Just because some people, in the face of genocide, have an opportunity to practice heroic virtue does not make genocide itself any less evil.

God’s grace allows something good to grow from the midst of the evil. But just because God’s grace exists in its midst does not automatically make the evil itself good.

Yes this is what I was saying.

Sin is sin yes I totally agree with all of you.

But some sins lead us back to God.

God knows us all better than we actually know ourselves. He gives us choices and waits to see which correct choices we make.

Out of Adultery I returned to God and have become a better person for it. Much guilt and remorse.

But if I carried on living my life the old way without being caught out , my evil would have been much worse.

I am glad my evil came out it possible saved my soul.

I can see your viewpoint on this. May be what you mean is: “GOD can bring good out of evil.” This, I totally agree. I personally have gone through many experiences related to this matter. But don’t get things confused; evil, by nature, is still evil. It cannot, and never will be, good.

I totally agree, when our God does allow Satan to attack a person, there are reasons for it.

Sometimes, our Lord allows temptation from Satan as a test. Even Jesus was tested through temptation by Satan in the desert. God may allow Satan to attack is to build our maturity and spirituality. Lord allows testing so we can be a comfort to others later.

God’s intention is always for our good. At times, He allows Satan to come against us, perhaps to strengthen our faith, to test us, or to prepare us to help others in their time of need.

We are never alone or abandoned. When Satan attacks, God’s help is near.

Lastly, spiritual warfare is not about a technique to defeat Satan, but a heart that walks closely with God. When God is first and foremost in our lives, Satan lacks power over us, despite his attempts to weaken our efforts to pursue Christ. THT
