This isn’t accurate at all. You need to inform the pastor so he can have a word with this woman and educate her.

Oh wow, what she’s done is so absurd. Any person, any priest, anywhere, confession is open to anyone.

That would be my question also. Also where in Canon Law is that to be found but then at the time it would just get me into more trouble.

NO! Not trouble.

“Bless me, Father, for I have sinned. It has been so many weeks - months - years since my last confession.”

What happened with those two mothers? Did they make confession? Did they leave? My prayers and concerns are for them.

I’m pretty sure “confessing” with the express intent of continuing to commit mortal sin is a sacrilege, like any bad confession. That is the priest’s role to discern in private, hence the confessional seal.

Whoa.

That’s a new way of being a busybody.

I hope no one took her seriously.

Your priest may need to address this publicly since a bunch of people heard it. Maybe he could do it at Mass during the homily?

This woman needs our prayers and some catechesis. Please pray for me.

Just say “You must be that lady they’re talking about on CAF.” Then, show her all of the comments.
