I wonder if I am doing the right thing here. I haven’t been to Mass and absolution in a long time. A couple of the reasons is its been bitterly cold. And my Psychiatrist retired and another doctor saw me and changed my medicine around and I’m all messed up. I sometimes don’t feel like going anywhere. I have trouble riding the bus anywhere. I might not straighten up until spring comes 😦 depression and anxiety problems. Can or should I just pray in front of www.savior.org site displaying the host?

If you have legitimate health concerns, I think you’d be okay to wait till you feel better to go.

It is a matter of conscience and you can decide on its validity, remembering that while it is our obligation to attend mass as much as it is possible for us, we are also not to force ourselves at the expense of our personal medical and health safety.

If there is a serious concern for your health because of the cold weather, or if hearing Mass will cause a severe bout of anxiety or some other medical concern, then you don’t have to got to Mass. We should not skip Mass for any light reasons, but if your concerns are serious enough then you are not obligated to go.

You can pray in front of this site, or any other way. It’s not instead of Sunday mass because illness lifts the obligation, but any praying you do is very good for you.

Also, you can call the parish. A priest may be able to visit you and hear your confession.
