Kellie,

You are forgiven, believe that and take heart in that. Have faith that you are sinless for that small portion of time from when you leave the confessional to when you sin.

kellie,

hold close to all the church teaches and believes… remember the what Christ told the apostles on Pentecost Sunday… the men whose sins you forgive are forgiven, and the sins you hold bound are held bound… so since Christ forgave you through one of his apostolic desciples you were forgiven… so see, he would have to hold your sin bound for you not to be forgiven… you don’t have the authority to hold yourself bound… so quit trying… peace baby… 👍

…just a little different angle…

Kellie, when you say you held onto that sin for three years, you don’t mean that you have made confessions in that time, leaving that one out, do you? But if you do, did you also confess to that? To purposely leave out a particular mortal sin will invalidate all of the confessions made while doing so. So, to the best of one’s ability, one must confess to having withheld a sin, and the sins that were confessed invalidly in that time as well.

Otherwise, as the others say, God loves always. He doesn’t even stop loving when we sin… it’s we who turn from Him. In Confession you have turned back towards Him. Don’t take your eyes off Him now. And trust in His Divine Love and Mercy.

God bless you!
