Hi all,

I currently have two jobs and will work at both jobs from 8 am- 10 or 11 pm each day, not including commute. I feel as though I have no time to pray. I will pray while I’m on the metro, but I don’t have enough time to pray the rosary and I am usually dead exhausted when I come home, I’ll fall asleep in the middle of praying even when the lights are on. But there are a lot of people and things and situations that I feel I need to pray for! Plus I have noticed that my prayers actually work a lot of the time if I keep praying continuously, for example getting the feeling that somebody is struggling with their faith and not seeing them in church, then praying for them and next thing I know I will see them in church (that’s just one of a few). I need several hours a day to devote to pray, to be honest! But both of my jobs require my complete attention and I don’t like that I can only pray very briefly during the day a few times. Asdfghjk what do I do?

Oh btw I have Sundays off but today I had a lot of things to do since I was not able to do them during the week, although I never miss Sunday mass.

Gee, it seems to me your prayer life is going much better than I could do given your very tight schedule with work You also pray during your commute it seems. Obviously you are very hardworking.

I have had busy times in my life where I had children and worked full time and what I tried to do was schedule a time for adoration one hour first a month, then every other week or whatever I could fit in.

Maybe that’s a possibility for you? Just a thought. Maybe Sundays after or before Mass?
I remember as well feeling I wish I could pray more when I was so busy with demands of life.

Others will have some good ideas I’m sure.

God Bless and hope this thread gives you some ideas to enhance your prayer life as you so desire.

Mary.

Your post is inspiring. Thank you. I hope you can find a solution.

I think you know what you should do about it: pray for an answer. 🙂

Offer your work to God as prayer. You can pray without words. You can think of God and pray.
