I’m Catholic and have a strong devotion to Mary. Many Protestants protest that Mary’s assumption and coronation is not I’m the Bible and devotion to Mary and the saints is heresy. How should we respond to that?

You should start on the Catholic Answers proper page and search for “Assumption.” This is a very long standing point of contention which you should research for yourself to get all the answers, and one that has probably already been brought up dozens of times in this forum.

You can do what bob perk says. This topic comes up over and over and over, there are many good threads.
Alternatively, when some Protestant goes off about Mary, you can chuckle at them, change the subject and privately say a Hail Mary for them.
I have less than zero desire to argue about Mary with anyone, especially deluded Protestants.

I’ve had to discern (with my family’s questions) if they are just trying to get in a jab or they really want to know. Most times, it’s just a mean-spirited jab and they are not open to learning or understanding. If they really want to understand, then I will explain.

I am not familiar with Protestantism but this topic is plentiful in CAF. From what I saw in their argument is perhaps two things:
- That the dead cannot hear our prayers, and
- That there is only one intermediary between God and man, that is Jesus.

The continuation, that is to say, the transition to eternity, must be understood as an eternal peace phase similar to the one that normally inaugurates a new cycle. During the next phase, God the Spouse comes to settle in the New Jerusalem (Rev 21:3), which corresponds to the phase of arrival – not only of the Spirit but of all Trinitarian Persons. This is why there is no longer a temple, as in ancient Jerusalem, for “its temple is the Lord God the Almighty and the Lamb” (Rev 21:22), who will reside in the new heavenly Jerusalem in Mother Mary forever (Rev 22:3-5).
