I am in the process of “converting” (as a baptized Christian, the proper term is “reconciling” as I understand it) and have tried to faithfully attend Mass. The last couple of weekends I have missed Mass for various reasons, (mainly that I was out of town) which I understand for a bona-fide Catholic is a mortal sin. Is this something I should plan to confess when I make my first confession? I am doing my best, with God’s help, to observe all the disciplines of a “real” Catholic (I did Lenten fasting and abstinence though I wasn’t able to attend Ash Wednesday) and I feel guilty that I missed Mass when I could have made an effort to attend.
Help?
