Convert–you’re very welcome. I know what it’s like to get excited each month, just to have my hopes dashed. Just remember that God has a plan for you. I’ll keep praying!

Thanks so much. You’re the best. God bless you too. I pray for you also! 🙂

:console::tissues: You are not worthless to God, the sufferings you are going through are worth more than you know. Sometimes it takes longer, hang in there!!
I will be praying for you.
:gopray:

You are too sweet. 🙂 Thank you so much for the consoling words and prayers. May God bless you and yours for your kindness to me. 🙂

Convert, I would like to tell you a little story. I know a couple who have been together for a very long time. They met in college and when they finished, found work etc. they got married.
After a few months, HE had to go to war because there was a war here in Croatia. SHE stayed at home. Alone. Waiting for him to come back.
He came home every now and then and she prayed very hard to conceive. but nothing.
Then the war was over, he lost his job, they were still trying but nothing.

Years and years passed, they became obsessed about having a baby, she was totally depressed.
Then they found good spiritual guidance.
She made peace with God’s will.
She realized she had been anxious since HE first went to the battlefield and that she hadn’t been relaxed in ten years.
They prayed a lot.

Then baby number one arrived.
Then baby number two.
Then baby number three.

My point is this: make peace with God and not only trust IN him, but trust HIM!
Go to the doctor’s with your husband. I recommend both gynecologist and endocrinologist.
And relax!!!
I will pray for you two.

p.s. a year and a half really isn’t a lot of trying, especially if you are anxious about getting pregnant. Things happening in your mind, the mess we sometimes have in our head, can really have strong impact on your fertility.

here’s a :hug1: from me, and prayers are coming :byzsoc:

Thank you very much for your kind and sweet words. Trusting in God is hard, but it is coming more and more these days. God bless you for your kindness and your prayers! 🙂

I am praying for you!! It makes me sad when people like you would die for a baby but yet there are selfish women out there killing their own!

Do you have the Saint Gerard prayer (for conception) I can type it to you if not. How about a Saint Gerard medal?

Thanks for the compliment. You are TOO sweet. It IS sad about women not wanting the gifts God gives them. I say from experience that “babies don’t grow on trees.” They are not as “easy to make” as most people think. Not using contraception, or taking a break from NFP will not guarantee 12 kids. :nope: In fact, that is very rare.

I do not have either the prayer or medal. I would love the prayer! And thanks for YOUR prayers too.

God bless you and yours! 🙂

My husband and I have been married…according to “the ticker”…fifteen months now. We have been trying to conceive from day one, with NO luck.

This month I thought I might finally be pregnant, as my period didn’t start. Now, unfortunately I’m cramping…so I know it’s coming. 😦

I am SO BUMMED. I :crying: everytime I get my period. I know this is the major source of my depression right now. I am SO SAD. I feel worthless to God.

We have decided to not use any costly medical care/treatments, as we are putting that money aside for trying to adopt later on, once college is taken care of. Paying off college, it seems like it will be forever before we can finally adopt. And I know it takes a while once the process is started, years even.

Please pray for me and my husband. Pray for our financial struggles to be resolved, for healing of my depression/anxiety, and for a miracle baby to be sent our way. :heaven:

Thanks. May God bless you and yours for your kindness to us. :signofcross:
First of all…you are NOT WORTHLESS TO GOD. That’s the devil trying to depress you. Don’t let him.

God will provide all of our needs…He loves you, and if it be His will for your life, He will not deny you.

Please be patient…I will pray for your circumstance, and for you to find joy…in the waiting. It’s hard I know…but be happy in all things…at all times…God is working, even when we don’t see it.

You’re more than welcome.
Don’t ever forget…God knows the number of hairs on your head…He is paying attention…He is hearing you. Be patient, He’s preparing you for something amazing. It’s hard, but learn to enjoy the now…learn to somehow, enjoy the waiting for His plan to be fulfilled.:hug1:

I’m sure you’d know by now, but a couple of months ago, I got all the signs of my periods coming, ie. cramping, emotional etc… and nothing happened. No period. I could have sworn I had all my usual symptons. But no… found out I was pregnant afterall. You sure you still could be? Sometimes you still get all the symptoms of a period. Thats not unusual. Anyway, if you’re not, don’t give up hope yet, 15 months isn’t that long to be trying. My bro and his wife tried for 2 1/2 years after they first got married and now they have five children!
Are you sure you know your fertile signs well? Excuse my ignorance if you have explained this elsewhere.
I’ll pray for you, that you conceive soon. The world needs many more catholics!

Thanks so much. I did end up starting my period. My cramps are so bad that its a little hard not to know when its coming. I was kind of just hoping against hope type of thing, since I was late. And got very depressed this time.

You are very sweet and I thank you for your kind words and prayers. God bless you and yours. 🙂

When I got pregnant with baby #2 I had horrible cramps and thought for sure my cycle was returning. It was very, very severe. But then the day ended without the cycle starting, then the next day and the next day, and finally I took a pregnancy test and it was positive 🙂 I know your period actually did come back this time, but just to let you know that cramping and feeling like your period is coming is common in early pregnancy.

I like to tell women who are trying to conceive about Our Lady of La Leche. I visited the shrine when I was pregnant with our first baby and prayed to her every day with both pregnancie. She took good care of my babies and me, and I haven’t had any breastfeeding problems or even “hurdles” to overcome as I learned how to breastfeed. I credit her and St. Gerard with helping me!

Here’s the website that has info about her shrine in St. Augustine, FL and a prayer for motherhood: missionandshrine.org/la_leche.htm
Prayer for Motherhood:
Lovely Lady of La Leche, most loving mother of the Child Jesus, and my mother, listen to my humble prayer. Your motherly heart knows my every wish, my every need. To you only, His spotless Virgin Mother, has your Divine Son given to understand the sentiments which fill my soul. Yours was the sacred privilege of being the Mother of the Savior. Intercede with him now, my loving Mother, that, in accordance with His will, I may become the mother of other children of our heavenly Father. This I ask, O Lady of La Leche, in the Name of your Divine Son, My Lord and Redeemer. Amen.

OH, THANK YOU CatholicSam. This is a beatiful prayer. It is SO nice to know I have you (and all of you) praying for us.

My sister actually had a period for four months of two of her pregnancies. Her pregancy tests were always NEGATIVE. So, I know anything goes! 😉 I know for certain we didn’t have luck for the first year. I could be pregnant now…I can only hope! :gopray2: But my periods are SO intense and SO heavy, I don’t see how any little darling could survive one. 😦

These are humbling and trying times for me as I have always wanted nothing more than a dozen children, and 1.5 years later we are still struggling getting #1 here. :o

You are all SO wonderful to have as friends. God bless you all! 🙂

Oh - I wish I could give you a hug! My husband and I TTC#1 for 2+ years. It was the most difficult time of my life. I can completely understand the way you are feeling!! We were diagnosed with so many things that made us feel like it would never happen: endometriosis, poor ovulation, luteal phase defect, husband has issues as well…then the most devistating of all - I have a “classic bicornuate uterus”. Our RE old us not to TTC because of the many risks to a baby when you have this defect. We prayed and in our hearts we knew that God wanted us to be parents. We moved on to adoption and completed ALL the paperwork. Then, like nothing we ever expected…I was pregnant!!!

I want you to know that God has a child for you. If your vocation is to be a mother, you will have a child. Whether it be through adoption or another miracle, it will happen. I will pray that God sends you the perfect child for you!

Pray for me as well! Our son is nearly 14 months old and we would be thrilled with a brother or sister for him!!! In God’s perfect time…

God Bless!
Katie
