for this but could someone please tell me what the initials IHS stand for?🙂
 
It’s an abbreviation for “Jesus” - derived from the Greek (ΙΗΣ = Ies(ous).
 
Yes is is Jesus’ intials in Greek.

Jack CHick (an anti-Catholic Lunatic) says its the initial of Isis.

There are 2 different answers, both of them correct:

Jesus Savior of Mankind
Iesus Hominum Salvator
(classical Latin does not have a J)
