Never mind. I never asked anyone here to give me faith. All I can ask for now is to pray for me. Right now I have no faith. I’m sad, lonely and miserable. I want to have the strength to go back to confession this weekend. Please I need prayers.
If you didn’t have faith, even a little, you wouldn’t be here in CAF.

May God give you the grace to realize you have the strength within you. May you know that this desire to have strength to go to confession is strength, it is faith.

To ask for prayers for yourself expresses that within you there is faith, there is strength.

Release yourself from needing to “feel” or “know” faith, strength or God’s presence.

Accept you are where you are in your faith or lack of faith today. Accepting it as it is today does not mean you can not “find” this faith. It means accepting what you feel today.

Can you live as if you have faith? Meaning - can you speak to God even if you feel He is not there? Can you go to Mass and Confession - even if you feel God is not there?

Can you release yourself from “how you think you should feel” God’s presence or feel faith?

I am sorry you are sad, lonely, and miserable. Even people with strong faith can find themselves sad, lonely, and miserable. Sometimes it is something that has happened and we are sad for awhile. Sometimes it is a stronger depression that we need a bit of help from our doctor or therapist to help improve our emotions.

May God lead you to confession this weekend. May God lead you to peace with where you are today on your faith journey. May God lead you to grow in faith. May God lead you to no longer feeling sad, lonely, and miserable. May He lead you to the right person who can assist you in both your faith journey and in your emotional sadness.

I believe in prayers etc, I just don’t think God hears or listens to me anymore. Maybe if others pray for me, God will listen to them? It’s just not very easy for me to seek out or ask for help. If I don’t talk myself out of going to confession again, I will try to open up to the priest. I last went a couple months ago and I cried for the first time ever in confession. The priest was very kind and helpful, but I did not take his advice to me. Now everything is much worse. Going back may be my only chance to find some hope again. If I don’t go back, everything will keep getting worse. 😦
Please, pray for me.

Surrender myself. He can have me. I wish he would take me!! Please take me! 😦
You are a geat prayer. This desert you are in is full of treasures. He chastises all His children. You have a unique unrepeatble part in Our Father’s salvific plan. Take courage, be stouthearted! There is much to do beyond the desert. The best guide is one who has been through the path. For my part I will offer a very special intention on your behalf!

PEACE

It doesn’t feel like being in a desert. It’s more like being alone in the ocean in the dark on a tiny boat with no oars. When I said “take me” I meant my life, but God doesn’t listen to me anyway. Thank you for your intentions, and to anyone praying for me.

It is good you are here.
You are tackling really large issues. They can overwhelm you.

Is there a specific behavior, habit, rejection, disappointment, that is larger than others, that really bothers you?
Sometimes there are very practical tools and steps that can be taken to grow in faith. Those difficulties that really bother and hinder us are sometimes right before our eyes, and we look by them, preferring instead to look at things which are beyond our reach and understanding.

At least in my life this is true. Certain pre-occupations, when addressed honestly, proved to be manageable. God was calling me to some very “simple” things that I did not want to address.

For anyone who read this thread and prayed for me to go to confession I just wanted to say that the prayers worked. All the circumstances came together that I was able to go and speak with the priest. He was very compassionate and helpful but now the hard part will be taking his advice. I need prayers for the strength to do what I need to do. It’s just very hard for me to seek help. I don’t know if I can do it. Now I also need to work on building my faith and trust in God again. Thank you for all your prayers.

We all need the strength to do what we need to do. That’s why God put the Church on earth. You pray for me, I pray for you, etc. There is also the Church in Heaven whose prayers are even more powerful than ours. Be sure to call on those guys for prayer assistance:thumbsup:

👍

Well done. Pass on “the apostolate of confession” to a friend in need!

Prayers said for you, Holding.

Don’t give up. Keep on trying. Just go on, one day at a time. That is all any of us can do. 🙂

I am glad that you made it to confession.
