I don’t expect anything else from Notre Dame. What a shame.

This has come up before. Notre Dame’s website lists “Our majors have interned with the following organizations. Listing here does not constitute an endorsement or agenda of these organizations by the department or University”. It also says nothing about funding. Don’t believe me?

In fact, the article says nothing about funding.
Why even associate with those groups, though? Why bother posting the information at all?

There is no evidence in the OP or in the links that there is any ‘funding’ involved. Is the heading of the OP a mistake? also, what is it that the objectors want? That students should somehow be prevented from taking up employment of their choice? Or that the university should lie about where students have been interns?

Notre Dame Caught Funding Pro-Abortion Student Internships

College is a time of equipping students for real world vocations—at least that’s what it’s supposed to be. Unfortunately, some universities see these academic years as an opportunity to indoctrinate their students into a culture of death.

Notre Dame doesn’t fund anything but Notre Dame, and I am fairly certain there isn’t an abortion clinic affiliated with the University.

There are several reasons that they might want to, but I’m not so concerned with that as why should LifeNews lie?

I did. Their headline is untruthful, and the article doesn’t even try to back it up.
That list is simply a list where political science majors have interned over several years. The university is looking into whether or not internships that students have independantly sought are appropriate to post on the site if conflicting with the university mission.

ND will fund some internships and give academic credit to some internships, but ONLY to internships that are not in conflict with Church teaching. If students want to venture out and find internships that are in conflict like at Emily’s List for example, then they do that on their own without university help, funding, or academic credit.
