Hi, is there anyone here who is from the Diocese of Saginaw or has ever attended it’s high school, Nouvel? It is a great school and I was wondering if anyone had a comment.
 
nope but I heard that it started as a Seminary, St. John’s Seminary.🙂
 
Yeah it did. If you walk around you can make out some things that would belong to a building like a seminary. I love that school.
 
Really? What are teachers are like?
Have you heard anything about Koinonia Academy of Bay City? It’s an ok school but I loved Dow High School because the teachers are so much nicer than Meridian High in Sanford. I’m orginally from Sanford but I was born in Saginaw.

The teachers are great. They care about you. I left Bridgeport High 2nd semester in the 10th grade. I’m going into the 11th grade this fall at Nouvel. Sorry, but no I haven’t heard a single thing about Koinonia Academy. But yeah Nouvel is awesome, the kids there aren’t very orthodox but nevertheless it’s great.

What’s your home parish on where you go to? I go to St. Agnes Catholic Church in Sanford where it’s close to my house.

I go to St. George Church in Saginaw. It’s a nice small Catholic church, it has a family like atmosphere.
 
What are the Mass are like in that Church? Do they use the correct communion bread like sacred host and not unleaven bread?

The mass is very nice there. From what I see there is nothing out of the ordinary. But the music is great and the congregation is Christ centered. We use those wafers for communion. We don’t make our own bread anymore, I’m not sure why. But I myself think Jesus is easier to consume as a wafer bread rather than homemade bread.
 
So, Ironman — do you play football for Nouvel? what are the chances for a three-peat?
 
No I don’t play football, but I think the chances for a another state championship are pretty good.
 
Nouvel started as St Paul Minor Seminary.

One person told me that when it opened in 1959, there were so many seminarians, they didn’t know what to do with them all. The school was over-swamped. In 1970, there were four students.

So, it’s nice to see the upswing in vocations.

OK, so have you met the new Chaplain (Fr Steve Gavit)?
 
That’s right, it was St. Paul. Yeah I met Fr. Steve. He’s a cool guy. With him the school year will be a good one.
