Thanks again, Vico, for another beautiful icon. How truly both our Mother Mary and St. John the Baptist point to the long awaited King, Son of David, whom the Jewish people longed to see. John pointed to Him as the one who would come after him, whose sandal he was unworthy to latch. How humbly the saintly precursor and Voice crying in the desert, lived and preached! Mary, the Mother of Jesus, so humbly and so perfectly continues to lead all souls to her Son.
I just posted a new thread related to the King and Queen of Heaven. The title of this thread is taken from the Liturgy of the Hours: “…radiance of Your Mercy” . Maybe you know of an icon that might be appropriate to that new thread. You can read the thread HERE
