A friend of mine committed suicide yesterday. She was suffering from deep depression. Please remember her (Linda) and her family in your prayers. I am still in a state of shock and cannot stop thinking about her. I was supposed to call her and go to lunch with her and…just can’t stop thinking. I worked on a psychiatric unit and understand about depression but that doesn’t make the pain stop. God have Mercy!

I am going to post this in prayers intentions, also.

Dear Maryann,

So sorry to hear of the loss of your friend. Her depression, an illness I believe, will be accepted by God as just that.

You now might simply give your prayers up to those who have passed on as your friend has and know that God is listening.

And please do not think that your not having called or visiting her had anything to do with her actions. It did not!

i am thankful to have the opportunity to pray for the Holy Souls, especially those that have no one to pray for them, so that they will in turn pray for me when i am in need of prayer

Happy Thanksgiving to you all! Thank you Holy Souls for your prayers. Thank you God for everything!
 
Day 1

Jesus, my Savior I have so often deserved to be cast into hell how great would be my suffering if I were now cast away and obliged to think that I myself had caused my damnation. I thank Thee for the patience with which Thou hast endured me. My God, I love Thee above all things and I am heartily sorry for having offended Thee because Thou art infinite goodness. I will rather die than offend Thee again. Grant me the grace of perseverance. Have pity on me and at the same time on those blessed souls suffering in Purgatory. Mary, Mother of God, come to their assistance with thy powerful intercession.
