You can pray through or if you want you can start on Day 1 today. Do Day two tommorow, etc.

I use the St. Gertrude Prayer as my Rosary intention.

Our Lord Jesus Christ revealed the following prayer to St. Gertrude the Great. The Lord promised that each time it is said, 1,000 souls would be released from purgatory (and enter Heaven):
Eternal Father, I offer Thee the most precious Blood of Thy Divine Son, Jesus, in union with the Masses said throughout the world today, for all the holy souls in purgatory, for sinners everywhere, for sinners in the universal Church, those in my own home, and within my family. Amen.

Yes, I have a special devotion to the St. Gertrude prayer for the holy souls as well. Here are my threads with it:

A Prayer Warrior is someone who prays for the intentions of others. Like your doing by saying this novena :).

Dear Stove:

Yes, count me in. 🙂 I’m terribly busy and often exhausted (working 3rd shift at night and trying to homeschool a six-year old during the day takes it out of me, lemme tell ya), but I will pray the novena. I need a spiritual lift, and with God’s grace, perhaps this will do it. 🙂

I pray for all the souls in Purgatory, that God might have mercy on them and give them their reward.
 
I have been praying this novena as well… I also pray the prayer of St.
Gertrude to empty purgatory…
