Novena for the Immaculate Conception

So I started an EWTN Novena on November 30th for the Immaculate Conception. Today, I had this panic that I had missed yesterday (Day 4) but when I read over the prayer I remembered a certain phrase from it and was like “Oh never mind I remember this.” However, just to be sure, I prayed it again because I was confused at why I would have thought I’d missed it.
So anyway, later today, I’m planning on praying Day 5 and I was wondering if that’s okay? Or should I start at the beginning again since I’m unsure?

I was hoping for it to end on the feast day! However, I also would think that missing a day wouldn’t matter as long as you say the prayer the next day. After all, it isn’t some magic spell (just speaking metaphorically), it’s a prayer! Right?

If you miss days in a Novena, just double up or triple up or whatever you have to do as soon as you can, and ask God in His mercy to please put the prayer on the right day.

Many of us have issues with missing days or not getting all the prayers for a particular devotion complete when they should be. I still “owe” a number of chaplets to complete one that ended in early November. God is outside of time. He will help you work it out, the important thing is that you’re praying.
