Does anyone have experience with this Novena?

Although not common in the Byzantine Rite, I do find that I greatly enjoy and find great peace in the Rosary. Right now, I feel like I have a lot of knots in my life that need undoing, and was curious about this particular devotion.

YES! Powerful!
I’ve prayed it in extreme cases…always a beautiful outcome.
They say it’s Pope Francis’ favorite devotion…

There’s a Catholic artist who has a site called

www.portraitsofsaints.com

Her prints of Our Lady Undoer of Knots is simply gorgeous!

About 11 years ago I was going through the darkest time of my life. I stumbled upon this novena and immediately felt drawn to it. I prayed it often, and I credit it with a HUGE change of heart on my part, and I do believe it saved my marriage.

I was so tickled, later, to learn that it is a favorite of our Pope 🙂

Click here for an online copy I created - if you print it front & back of a regular sheet of paper, it is a tri-fold layout.

I have been praying it again recently for my younger brother who is suffering - if you think of it, please say a prayer for him, for physical and spiritual healing! 😊

Thanks! I started it last night.

LPS, I will pray for your brother as well!

What a blessing to read this morning! I will be starting a Divine Mercy novena tomorrow and will remember your intentions each day as well - thank you!

this, I feel is the best part of CAF.

People sharing, and praying for each other’s intentions.
When I feel like quitting because of all the pettiness, the priest & Pope bashing, the valid and invalid gripes…the posters who follow people around just to insult them…

I happen upon a thread about relationship with God.
It’s a blessing to me today.
Thank you all.

I love the name of Our Lady in this, and of the Novena. It is so down to earth, sort of ‘there in the trenches’ with us, acknowledging how messy life can get.

I’ll be starting this today, as there seem to be way too many knots in my life, despite all my best attempts to live right and well.

pianistclare, I know exactly what you mean! I’ve been struggling so much with discouragement for all the reasons you mentioned. It really is a blessing 🙂

holyrood, may you be as blessed by this novena as I have been. I think you may be surprised by how the knots are worked out!

Indeed, plus non-Catholics lecturing Catholics on Catholicism, the same arguments over and over again… it gets to a point where one can practically write some of the posts for some posters because it’s always the same old schtick…

Sorry, that’s not what this thread is about, but I had to get it out. 🙂

Bumping this because I’m on Day 8, and I highly recommend this devotion!

👍

It really is terrific; I’m so glad you are being blessed by it too!

And MarcoPolo, that is a great copy of the artwork! I’ve read that the tiny figures at the very bottom may be Archangel Rafael traveling with Tobias, from the book of Tobit.

Same here.

To answer your question, I have prayed it and it is a beautiful devotion.

Something to share with all of you…

Yesterday was Day 9 of my Novena. At the beginning, there were things for which I was praying for help, and while these things are still important to me; on Day 9 I can to some realizations of things that I hadn’t even really been aware of that certainly are other “knots” in my life. I think it’s a wonderful Grace that I’ve received. These knots are things that are within my ability to fix rather easily and the path to resolution is clear, so my response is “Yes, I’ll do it”!

OP,

so glad this has been fruitful.

I love this devotion and prayed the novena just a couple of weeks ago. I was in terrible knots of anxiety over the forthcoming trip home. The novena really helped and I am at peace and not worried.

👍 Awesome!

All,

I just wanted to update you. This is a truly powerful Novena! Things have come to the surface that (as I mentioned before) are easy fixes; as I continue my devotion some things are coming up that are somewhat painful, but need to be attended to. I know for a lot of people, this Novena may focus on one specific issue or “knot”. For me, it’s become a journey to clean up some of the messes in my life.

I prayed this in September, for four specific intentions. Two of those problems did sort of ‘come to a head’ in those 9 days. Which was good. I wouldn’t really say there was resolution, but clearly things moved forward in some way. The other two–not really.

I have been meaning to say it several more times, but each day seems so packed and busy, that they’ve slipped away. I hope to get back to it soon.
