Novena to St Theresa little flower

Hello all

I completed my novena to St Theresa last Sunday. We are in the middle of winter and well I felt my chances of seeing a rose, to confirm that my prayer was been considered was impossible.
Suddenly my mother asked if I would fetch my grandmother for lunch, and strangely my gran wasn’t dressed yet(my grans always ready to go out) and I had to wait and wondered around her house. Went into the dining room and there on the table was a vase of pink roses. Most of them slighly withered but one big fresh happy rose.
It snowed from the next day and I haven’t seen a flower since.

Was that my sign that god has heard my prayers?

Does it mean that god will grant my prayer or just that he has heard my prayer?
 
I think its definitely a sign that God and St. Threasa liked your prayer very much, and it probably made them very happy.I dont know if its a sign it will be granted, but I think it probably is.God will carry out His will in the matter, anyway.
 
I think at the very least it is a sign from St. Therese that she’s praying for you and she’s now your buddy in heaven. 🙂

I just did her novena a few months ago. During the 9 days I went to the Adoration Chapel. When I went in there I couldn’t look up because I felt so unworthy to look at my Lord. So I prayed for a moment with my eyes down. Then my eyes shot up at the Host and then right back down to a huge bouquet of roses sitting right underneath Him. Then I glanced over to the statue of Our Lady and there was another vase of roses.

I have never seen roses in that chapel since. There are always different types of cheaper flowers.
 
I am also doing my novena to St. Therese of Liseaux, as well as a novena to St. Jude and St. Philomena, and of course to the Sacred Heart of Jesus. They’re all great devotions. Actually, it’s a little bit selfish on my part since I desperately need to get the job that I want, but then again I have admired the Little Flower of Jesus since the time I read her autobiography.
 
About eight years ago, before I became Catholic, I said a Novena to St. Therese. A couple of days after I finished my Mother brought me some carnations for my birthday…she never gave me flowers. She didnt buy them for me, someone had given them to her and she thought I would like them. I know they werent roses but I think it was St. Therese saying that my prayer wont yet be answered, just be patient. A couple of years later, that particular prayer was answered.
She is my little Saint. If my RCIA had said anything about choosing a Saint for Confirmation…

St. Therese is awesome! 👍 I chose her as my Confirmation saint in April and I’ve been showered with flowers ever since! They have mainly been roses, but other flowers come too.
Just because you get a rose, it doesn’t always mean that your prayer will be answered in the way you want it to, but God is always listening! Even if you don’t get a rose, God will answer your prayer in another way or at another time.
For me, I really wanted a charismatic gift like the gift of tongues or laughter so I prayed her novena. I received a rose, but I didn’t receive that gift. That doesn’t mean Jesus didn’t hear my prayer, but that He has a better plan. :cool:
 
I’ll be honest, I’ve prayed her novena so many times over the past couple of years, and I’ve never received a physical rose. I don’t know what to really make of that…maybe it’s just that I need to learn to trust without the assurance of a sign. I know my prayers have always been heard though. Of course, it would be nice to receive a physical rose (it would certainly help me at the moment) but maybe God has other plans…
 
I have been given so many signs of roses (especially pink) that it is hard to recall them all. However, I must say, that usually it does not mean that my prayer is answered. I now understand these wonderful gifts from St. Therese as signs that she is suffering with me and is always praying for me.

Several months ago when I said her novena, I decided to ask for a different color rose (red). Sure enough, at the end of the novena, there was a bouquet of red roses placed on the piano just moments before I performed in a concert. This was a total surprise; the person who placed them could not have known of my novena.

It is nice to have such a wonderful friend as St. Therese.
 
Tonight, I finished the Novena to St. Theresa Little Flower.
I wasn’t expecting the Roses but it looks like this Thread about the Saint is the first thread I read after praying the Novena tonight.

Could this thread be my gift from her? 🙂 I wish it is.

Perhaps so. I am sure that she has heard your prayer and has prayed for you. 🙂
