My go-to guilty pleasure is Cheez Whiz (the cheese-like substance in a jar) and hard pretzels.

Currently it’s pear preserves on buttered toast. We won a jar of pear preserves at a benefit auction the other night and I am almost through with the jar.

This is unusual for me for two reasons - I don’t like bread and I don’t like sweets.

Whipped cream straight out of a can…you asked, I answered! :bounce: Yeah, yeah, I know…:tsktsk:

I’m trying to remember the last time I was home alone for any length of time without something needing to get done!! 😃

If it did happen, I’d probably enjoy something sweet. There are a couple cakes I make that the family enjoys (me too), so probably sitting down with a piece of blueberry lime pound cake and a latte.

Oh, wow. That is very dependent on the moment. It might be a dessert, it might be a savory, it might be peanut butter served neat (straight off of the spoon), it might even be a little shot of something fine from the top shelf.

A better question is whether there is anything I wouldn’t treat myself with when I’m here alone!

“Being good”, BTW, means not hiding the wrappers!]

I don’t usually make anything in particular that treat myself to.
My treat consists of anything home made that I’ll have been pining for (brownie pudding, cake, pizza, pasta, etc. All things healthy. 😛 ) and not having to be bothered to do the dishes immediately after…
Unless I don’t feel like cooking, and we have some good pound cake in the house; top it with either melted lindt chocolate, or smashed strawberries and whipped cream.

When there’s no dedicated treats in the house, I always revert to the old childhood faves. Weetbix cut in half longways with butter and peanut paste or a Sao with butter, a smear of vegemite and a processed cheese slice.

WOW !!

I Am Blown away with the response I’v received with this one…

Thank you all so much… Things can get a little serious around her on the Forum…

Like Gun Control… Birth Control… Control of Mrs Palmer… Psychotic Control…
Code:
lets not forget Political Control...... etc etc.... there is quiet a list......
so its good to see just how everyone can be home alone … ( Unsupervised )

And have a little treat to themselves…

God Bless all you little Munchkins…

God Bless all you little Munchkins…
Yes we are.🙂
I love cream cheese cake, but it’s too expensive so I made my own with yummy graham cracker and walnut crust, and filled it with cream cheese mashed with strawberry yogurt and froze it. . . nobody else likes it so I ate the whole thing this week.:o
Don’t tell.

What is this being home alone business that you speak of?

My husband retired a little over a year ago. I have not had a single day home alone, nor a clean house, since.

Vanilla ice cream (Walmart’s Blue Bunny with Splenda) with peanut butter and Rich Chocolate Ovaltine.

The Ovaltine makes me believe I’m eating a nutritious snack, and the Splenda-sweetened ice cream makes me believe it’s low-calorie. (Okay, so I’m easily deceived.)

He’s cleaning/lubricating his gun(s). TW25B is a lubricant for firearms.
IN THE HOUSE?!? That foul smelling stuff in the house, let alone in the kitchen??

Oh no, no, no, that will never do!

Gun cleaning solvent is high up there on the list of reasons I felt compelled to buy my DH a new 20 X 40 outbuilding. The firearms themselves may continue to reside in the house. I may even buy him that ridiculously expensive gun safe he wants for Christmas…as soon as he agrees that it can live somewhere other than in the living room. 😉
