Now in her 80s she is hemmed in in some ways, she writes, and she realizes that this is being done by God who makes it possible for the great spiritual gifts he can give her now.

Catherine Doherty who wrote this died in 1985. Famous for having lived a life of service to the poor, she died in Madonna House, the Catholic community in Canada which she founded and in which she died.

Not bad. A fun read.
Some interesting insights - concerning the nearness - of the inevitable.

"Now I have reached my eighties.
People in their eighties usually are not obedient to anyone! "
