These folks have just admitted what many suspected all along: Their leadership is using donations to fund a lavish lifestyle.

" After years of denying allegations of lax financial oversight, the National Rifle Association has made a stunning declaration in a new tax filing: Current and former executives used the nonprofit group’s money for personal benefit and enrichment.

The NRA said in the filing that it continues to review the alleged abuse of funds, as the tax-exempt organization curtails services and runs up multimillion-dollar legal bills. The assertion of impropriety comes four months after the attorney general of New York state filed a lawsuit accusing NRA chief executive Wayne LaPierre and other top officials of using NRA funds for decades to provide inflated salaries and expense accounts."

What will Oliver North say now?

The NRA has been a joke for years. They have been useless at getting gun control laws repealed, and their fund raising was always annoying. I bought a life membership years ago but outside of that I’m glad I never gave them a dime extra.

Their fundraising is annoying, but they have had a leadership roll in defending the second amendment protection of the inherent right to keep and bear arms.
It will be a daunting task considering Biden’s authoritarian anti-gun rights position.

They never once challenged the NFA, the GCA, or Hughes amendment.

The NRA has always reported and supported members of Congress no matter the party. And the Eddie Eagle program has been great for kids, but some schools will not allow it.

The NRA also supported open carry of firearms – except when black folks did it in the sixties. Then, the org was agin’ it! True story. Reagan and California conservatives all of a sudden came out for gun control.

Now, the NRA’s video feed predicts race war.
