NRSV-CE Study Bible?

I am looking for an NRSV-CE Study Bible. Does one exist?

It seems the only Catholic study bibles are the Ignatius Study Bible by Scott Hahn, Navarre, and the one which uses the NAB translation.

At this moment there is no specific NRSV-CE Study Bible. I am sure that you know that there are NRSV Study Bibles out there, which include the Deutero-Canonical books, as well as the ones that the Orthodox Church hold as canonical.

All three of these editions are done by an ecumenical group of Biblical scholars. These are definitely not devotional Bibles, like the NIV Life Application Bibles that are out there. Of the three, I like the HarperCollins one the best, because I find the charts and maps to be better, and the historical-critical and literary commentary is ok. (If you were to get a New Oxford edition, I would recommend an earlier edition edited by Bruce Metzger)

I just ordered the new Discipleship Study Bible, which uses the NRSV and includes the Deuterocanonicals. I haven’t received it yet, so I am not sure how good or bad it is.

Overall, I would love to see a really good Catholic Devotional NRSV study Bible.

I’m not sure how “Study Bible” is defined, but I have NRSV - Catholic Edition, with both US and Canadian Imprimaturs dated 1991. It is published by Oxford University Press. My copy is paperback and is described as an expanded economy edition. It includes Catholic prayers and devotions, a concordance, maps and charts, and (the reason I bought it) a table listing the Mass readings for Sundays, Solemnities and weekdays.

Generally, study Bibles contain extensive, often line-by-line, commentary on the passages, explanatory essays at the beginning of each book, mini-essays on particularly difficult translations, maps, and other extras.
