Hi.
I´m planning to go to Confession tonight after almost two months. I have made an Examination of Conscience a few weeks ago as I first intended to go earlier but then postponed it. In addition to that, I´ve added a couple of sins to the list. I´m used to going with the list, because I can easily become forgetful if I´m supposed to remember it all.
This time I believe I´m going to confess venial sins only, as I´m not aware of any mortal sins. I´ve always heard that one is encouraged to mention all the sins they´re aware of in Confession, but as I´ve made an Examination of Conscience and been thinking about this for weeks, my list is pretty long. So, I think I got down to like 18 venial sins.
Is it normal to have that much to confess? Am I right to confess all of them or am I overdoing it? Cause I think it´s better to take it all before God´s mercy, and also receive graces to be able to encounter the sins better next time.
Thanks in advance
