Numbers 16 (Korah’s Rebellion) a story about the Antichrist?

The stories of the Torah strike me as being fictional for the most part, and nonetheless parables. Numbers 16 seems to be a warning about the coming of the Antichrist.

One example,

Korah, Dathan, Abiram = Dragon, Beast, False Prophet?

Why three antagonists?

Moses killing them seems to correlate to Jesus ‘killing’ apathy.

Your thoughts?

You need to read the whole passage in context.

Jesus desires to save us from suffering and death. When we disobey we bring His punishment.

And that is the results when we run out from under the protection that His grace provides for us, that is like an umbrella of protection.

The Old Testament is all pointing to the coming of Jesus. Jesus is the fulfillment of the OT.

I don’t see it as a fictional parable. It isn’t presented that way at all.
Why three antagonists?
There were 250 antagonists (Numbers 16:3), they just name the primary instigators. Seems to me that your reading too much into it. How about Father, Son, and Holy Spirit? Why three?

Moses doesn’t kill them, he begs God for mercy upon them (Numbers 16:22).
Jesus doesn’t kill apathy, where do you get that from?

The similarity between the two is that the antichrist rejects God’s authority in the same manner that Korah does. But that can also be applied to most of the Bible (examples: worshiping false gods repeatedly, killing prophets, rejecting Jesus, etc.)

So, no; that is not a warning about the coming of the Antichrist. You can make some comparisons between them, but to try to apply it as some direct prophetic parable is really taking it out of context.

Those people - challenged - Moses’s authority.
They sought to divide the people - bring disunity.
God HATES that.
God - does HATE.
Look up the seven things God hates - in Proverbs.
You risk Hell - if you seek rebellion.
The devil - and many angels - rebelled -
Even Moses’s very Sister !
She spoke bad about Moses - and became a leper -
She rebelled.
Those three clowns - were stirring trouble.
Even the story of Achan - hiding treasure - tent - camp -
Everyone suffered - from HIS - rebellion.
He was stoned to death.
His wife and children - stoned to death.
Even his cattle - stoned to death.

Rebellion - is right up there with witchcraft, if you ask me.

I think the meaning is pretty simple: schism is bad and leads to hell.

Umm, sometimes a story about a rebellion is just a story about a rebellion. It stands pretty well on its own, without having to load extra meanings onto it.
