Nun or motherhood?

Hi, my name is georgia and I have always wanted to become a nun ever since I was younger but my dreams of becoming a mother will not come true if I peruse that dream and I don’t want to wait until my children are not dependant until I join the convent. What should I do? I need guidance.

Dear Georgia,

I read a lot of “I wants” in your question. You need to consider what God wants. You made no mention of a husband. Each vocation is a call by God. It is all about Him; not all about us. I encourage you to spend regular time before the tabernacle, reflecting on what He endured for us on Good Friday and thank Him. He will let you know what HE wants in HIS time. Right now He wants you to come closer and be His friend. You are in our prayers.
