God is truly amazing just think this Monastery would have closed their doors forever but it has welcomed these faithful servants.

The Carmelite Nuns are in my Prayers.

God bless you for posting and sharing this

A Jesuit brother at Spring Hill College and two Vietnamese nuns studying at the school connected them with a set of nuns in Vietnam.
“That’s how we got the news that we were going to be able to continue, because new sisters were coming,” said Bradley.
Paul Schubert is the President of the Third Order of Carmelites. He acted as a tour guide at the open house. He said this is a once in a lifetime experience.
“We just so happen to be in between sets of nuns which is a very, very rare occurrence. So because the new nuns haven’t come yet, the monastery is open for the public to see,” said Schubert.

I guess the new nuns have already arrived, so its too late to tour the grounds. :o

However, many people from across the Archdiocese of Mobile helped to make this happen:
The sisters will be departing their homeland in Vietnam February 11 to continue their cloistered, monastic, and consecrated lives among us.
In the interim, much work is currently being done to renovate the Carmelite Monastery in preparation for the new sisters’ arrival. The monastery had been deteriorating for a number of years. Its renovation has been a tremendous labor of love, involving numerous benefactors, professional contractors, volunteer groups, and individuals from throughout the Archdiocese, including numerous individuals from other Christian faith communities who have given time, talent a treasure to prepare for the sisters’ coming.
