Last weekend I attended my first Catholic Nuptial Mass in the Tridentine rite. It was awesome, but there’s something I’ve been wondering about.
The Nuptial Blessing prayers were especially focused on the bride, asking God to protect her from all “forbidden embraces” and similar immoral activities. But why is there nothing in the prayers asking that same thing for the groom? Women aren’t the only ones who get tempted to commit adulterous acts, thoughts, etc.! Being a man, I know what scum we can be (
