I love to make candy as gifts for the holidays. I normally make fudge and a few years ago made peanut brittle, too. My SM recently gave me a recipe for a sort of nutritious treat that I thought I would share and I was wondering if anyone else has something they make that’s tasty and, if not actually nutritious, at least not a nutritional nightmare for kids.
Mom’s Peanut Butter Bites
1 C Honey
1 C POWDERED (not dry) milk
1 C Natural Peanut Butter (the regular kind has too much oil to set up properly)
Warm honey in microwave (just enough to melt the PB a little), mix in large bowl with other ingredients. Form into bite sized balls. Can be stored for a week in an airtight container. The amount varies depending on how large you roll them. Seriously, these taste like Bit O Honeys, my favorite candy when I was a kid, but without the dental damage.
