Very disappointing. Encouraging others in their sins. Complete disgrace to a parade that is supposed to be in honor of St. Patrick.

Interesting enough every news station video on this page talks about the first opening gay group and Cardinal Dolan being the Grand Marshall.

This is the news that the residents of New York City (population 7 million)are getting. Next year Cardinal Dolan will not be the grand marshal but will the parade then open up to more gay marchers as Boston has.Time will tell.
Yep. I had repressed this. It’s back. :crying:

I’m very disappointed because it seems like the Cardinal is getting played for a sucker.:o

And they are protesting loudly that they did not have enough representation.
If they want a parade, they can go and have their own parade. I don’t see why they want to participate in a parade honoring a Catholic saint, except to cause trouble.

Michael Voris of ChurchMilitantTV got elbowed in the stomach and bullied out of the press area by Cardinal Dolan’s handlers after he asked the cardinal if he he had anything to say to loyal Catholics who are scandalized by his actions. See the video titled St. Partick’s Day Gets Rough.

Was the question of Mr. Voris appropriate or was it somewhat rude?

It was basically as anthony022071 noted. He asked the Cardinal if he would like to say anything to faithful Catholics who are scandalized by his participation in the parade.

Cardinal Dolan then gave a non-answer (something like - I’d say welcome and come and join us) and turned away. And then the elbowing and shoving began. I guess everyone is welcome, unless they disagree with encouraging sinful behavior.

Bingo. This is about undermining Church teaching and bringing down the faith. It is an abhorrent slap in the face to the memory of a great saint and a scandal to the faith.
