We can be forgiven if we confess our sins. ( 1st John 1:9 ) But what about the effects of our forgiven sins?
Lets say I came to your house and I accidently broke a valuable dish. I apologise profusely. You say that you forgive me. But the effect of my action is that you now do not have that valuable dish. So I go out and find a similar dish, buy it, and give it to you. Are the effects of my “sin” wiped clean?
Consider some actual sins that we have commited. We have gone to confession, recieved forgiveness via the Priest from God, But do the effects of our sin linger? What do we do now? These sins were against God not another man. Do we have to wait until we are in Purgatory to have the “effects of the sin” removed?:bounce:
