O.T. & Salvation

The Old Testament Prophets and children of God , were not baptised by the Holy Spirit, so how can they be saved by the New Covenant. Or did Christ die on the Cross to save the living and the dead. I need a pointer to scripture where it refers salvation in the Old Testament - Please.

The OT only mention that if one sins, one should repent and resolve not to persist on that sin and ask forgiveness from GodAllahYHWH, since there is no forgiver of sins than Him so He may forgive.This is according to OT in my opinion.
