Oakland parish pastor, visiting Indian archbishop die in car accident

God have mercy. May their souls rest in peace.
When is this nation going to have the insight to look at the statistics of the horrific deaths, and injuries caused by tractor-trailer trucks? Are we blind and deaf to the danger these trucks are to our communities and others? Two priests and one of those priests is an archbishop. God help the other priest who is injured.
These semi trucks should be cut in half, give two jobs and not be so large and tall, but it is all about money, getting there fast. How many lives and families have been destroyed due to semi trucks? Including truck drivers only trying to make a living , just like anyone who needs work. There are not enough regulations and someone should work towards a solution. When will we make laws about these horrible semi trucks and get things changed? Or do we have to continue to have our friends, family members and community be tragically hurt or killed before we do something as a Nation?
Prayers for their souls and for their families and the suffering community who lost their Archbishop.
