Obama Offends Disabled With Crass Special Olympics Remark

It just goes to show liberals have a double standard. If one identifies themselves as conservative or a Christian and they say anything about another group, then that person is label as a bigot and hater. In my experience, not just past but as recent as yesterday, liberals will use derogatory terms to describe others almost as if they are saying they are so PC it is Ok for them to use the terms for they are for deversity.

I know a person in which I have frequent discussions on many isssues, but it really gets to me how he seems think it is ok to ID others be their mannerism or beliefs with derogatry labels. For example, one lady we both iknow which is a little pushy and assertive in her actions, he seems has no problem or thinks it is perfectly fine to id the lady as being “butch”. (In the past I have had discussins with her about the ups and downs over her current boyfreind). He has in his mind ID her as being a “manly” lesbian, when even if she was, but by her own idications not, why should her sexuality even be brought into the discussion? (the discussion was over a issue having absolutely nothing to do with sexuality) Why does he do this? to show his open mindness?

In many discussion I have had, person to person, on many issues, with self-identified “liberals” ( I really do hate labels) when they seem to have no logical argument for their stand or when they see I will not let go of mine, it seems they start trying to belittle me or others concerning my view. siting bigotry, ignorance, prejudice and or just being a stupid Christian or perhaps a “retard”. Which using the later word really offends me. Not becuase of the attempt to ID me as a person of special needs, but because it belittles and is derogatory of all the special needs persons that have been part of my life.

It should be obvious that persons that are willing to use such derogatory identfying remarks of others are not really sensitve of others, but use them for their own personal political agenda or sense of lack of self-worth.

One thing we don’t need is politicains that have big egos while at the same time have problems with their personal self-worth so much they have to belittle others in such derogatory ways…

The PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES appears like some celebritard on a comedy show. He didn’t even have a TIE on, for cryin’ out loud. Then he makes a crack about the disabled.

Anyone OK with this? THIS is what we’ve come to expect from the most powerful person in the world?? How did we ever get this far to lower our expectations of our higest office in the nation??

I am NOT okay with this.

Yesterday I was wondering out loud, ‘When did Bush appear on Leno and make stupid remarks? I must have been absent that day.’

He shows no outrage over the comment, but has simply said:

“He bowled a 129. I bowl a 300. I could beat that score easily,”

He would like to go to the White House and bowl against President Obama. He has the following advice for Barak:

“I’d tell him to get a new bowling ball, new shoes and bring him down to the lane. Keep his body straight, his arm straight and keep his steps straight. He has to practice every single day.”

The good nature and good heartedness of disabled men like this one make the comment all the more upsetting. I do wonder if this gesture is lost on Barak.

I read about this champion bowler in the paper today & thought it was awesome. Thanks for sharing it with us. If President Obama does not invite this man to bowl with him in the White House, I will lose even more respect for him.

It seems like he lets his guard down once in a while, & we see his real feelings about things. In just the last few months he has made intolerant remarks about religion, people from small towns, people of mixed race, & now disabled people. He is so guarded & intelligent that it does not happen a lot, but it’s there.

The issue isn’t Obama’s numerous mistakes, it’s his lies and the blatant cover up by the media of his real agenda.

In order to get elected he lied, promising no earmarks, transparency and that he would go through each spending bill, “line by line” to ensure there is no fraud or waste. All lies!

The BIGGEST LIE; He wants to “reduce abortions” (murder of innocent babies!)! That’s why he has a 100% rating from NARAL (he votes for abortion 100%) of the time. He just approved US tax dollars for abortions around the world and for the abortions (murder) of embryos for stem cell research.

The incredible arrogance of the man will surely be his downfall. Instead of buckling down and working 24/7 to resolve this financial crisis, he is flying all over to campaign for his ongoing popularity contest. He is yukking it up and insulting all of us by his lack of respect for doing the job he promised! HOPE? CHANGE??

I HOPE THERE IS CHANGE!!! I hope Mr. Obama changes his self-serving, narcissistic attitude and that God touches his heart to stop the murders of innocent babies for $$$$. Pray for him and our country before we end up like all of the other once-great societies that fell into moral decay and are now extinct!

OK, Forget about what he’s wearing. I was half asleep and confused it with his other celibrity appearances. Looking at a replay, it didn’t look presidential to me; looked like a rather cheap suit and tie.

To many of us who grew up respecting the office of the Presidency, it fits with the whole “Obama the Celebrity” image that he wants to project. That he’s cool, hip, with it.
Is just like one of us, only smarter, wink wink.

Clinton made me ill. This guy makes Clinton look like a saint, IMHO.

Also, disabled people have to adapt, ajust, realize there are some things they are not going to get to be part of.

People say stupid things sometimes, that in retrospect might be offensive. He was mocking himself, but what he didnt realise is that he was mocking himself at the expense of others.

It was a poor joke in bad taste. Anyone who takes offence to it is probebly just persuing a different agenda completly.

That’s exactly the point here!

The person in the highest office in the country, perhaps even the world, doesn’t do such things. They are not supposed to say stupid things (especially since we’re being repeatedly told that our current president is SO intelligent ). They are not supposed to put themselves in positions where they might say stupid things.

And not just stupid things, but offensive! Sure, all presidents make slips of the tongue, maybe fumble their words. Bush 43 was pretty good at that. But can you imagine him making such a nasty implication? I cannot.

If Obama makes such a gaffe on this matter, who’s to say he won’t say something stupid to a foreign leader, offending them? Affecting our relations?

The whole point is, he needs to start acting like a President, and not a celibrity.

Im not sure what you mean exactly by moral decline. However im fairly sure he is the best person to fix the just general decline that bush got you into. Fighting wars in far off countrys for no reason, the deaths of im not even sure how many american lives as a result of extremly poor and aggressive foreign policy. And of course the collapse of the finanial system.

Think of all those billions of dollors that the previous administration spent on killing iraqi civilians, which is just as bad as abortion. (worse in my opinion but this isnt the place for that discussion).
