Obama Pro-Abortion Health Care Reconciliation Bill Expected Monday

Washington, DC – Democrats in Washington are continuing to push for the controversial reconciliation strategy to railroad the pro-abortion government-run health care bill through Congress. And Republicans continue blasting the upcoming health care summit as a charade and “infomercial” for the bill.

Since this is a reconciliation of bills, it presents an opportunity to have the pro-abortion aspects of the bill removed.

It looks like the insurance companies are going to be raising everybody’s rates if some sort of healthcare bill is not going to be put into place. So stopping the reform will cost us all more money, and in a perverse way we will be paying more for abortions since they are covered under many private insurance plans.

Tell your representatives in DC to include a public option WITHOUT abortion coverage. This will lessen governmental and insurance company support for abortion and also follow Jesus’ teachings about the least.

If we stand for the status quo, we are supporting the privately insured abortion industry. We must be aware of how our actions are connected to abortion. The private insurance companies don’t care about the unborn( they really don’t care about us either, but that’s another discussion) .

Maintaining things the way they are now is to support the present abortion industry. Demand that your reps and senators do the right and courageous thing and support healthcare reform without abortion.

Peace

There is nothing pro-abortion about the bill.

It maintains the status quo.

I am so sick of the lies and deceit .

JJdrury, check with the USCCB. If it didn’t fund abortion, they wouldn’t be opposing it.

Many social progressives in the administration are atheist moral relativists, and as such, view sex primarily as a means of pleasure stimulation. You might even say they are sex addicts who need to get their fix, even against the wills of the People. Their goal is to live for today, to experience as much physical pleasure each day as possible. Free and easy abortion is step one to this goal. Next is drug use, population control to save the planet, religion control to stop the wars, and lots of dreaming, hoping, and fantasizing. Some people prefer to worship pop culture.

The U.S. is too strong to be defeated militarily, so it needs to be destroyed from within the culture.

It funds abortions, there for it’s it’s not mainting the status quo. I used to argue exactly the point you’re making now, not all to long ago. In fact I’ll offer my blog (locutus465.blogspot.com) as a source for my very recent, very pro-health reform stance. Unfortunetly I have yet to post since seeing the light on this subject, I should do that soon. At anyrate, this bill is pro-abortion, pure and simple. It should be stopped at all costs, I will be writing my congressmen soon.

Edit
I just called and emailed Senator Kay Hagan (Mine) to not support anything lacking Stupak langague. I made sure to use clearer words than that on the phone lol.

And I just got my repersentitive.

and the most powerful thing any of us can do I saved for last, I prayed a Chaplet of the Rosary, with the intention that this bill definitivly fail, that we never support abortion.

It funds abortion. And if it’s like the Senate bill in other respects, it also funds a “Center for Health Outcomes and Research Evaluation” for health care rationing–

The idea that there’s opportunity to add and subtract things during the passing of the bill is, if anything, a cause for even more worry-- it lets the “party of death” progressives engage in more political maneuvering to get what they want.

I’ve already written my Senators urging them yet again to oppose this, even though they’re ultra-liberals who won’t listen (Merkley is one of those who urged the use of this “budget reconciliation” tactic in the first place). And I will continue to pray and hope for a miracle.

Take a deep breath man, and get a grip. The world has been going to hell in a hand basket for centuries now. It’s too late to save it and we are all on the ride to perdition. Only a remnant will be saved. What can we do to be in that number?

Lots of things, I’m sure. But one would be opposing evil with our best efforts. This administration and this congress are relentlessly pro-abortion. But a person has to try.

From Prolife News 2/22/10

"In fact, analysis from one pro-life organization finds Obama’s plan actually increases the total potential abortion funding.

The current Senate bill contains massive abortion funding that could force taxpayers to fund hundreds of thousands of abortions and it has other pro-abortion problems.

But the new Obama health care proposal, unveiled today in advance of the White House health care summit, leaves intact that Senate language funding abortions.

The Obama plan also violates his pledge to Congress and the American people that his version of health care reform would not force taxpayers to fund abortions.

In a September nationally-televised speech to Congress, Obama sought to clear up projections from pro-life advocates that his health care plan would fund abortions.

“One more misunderstanding I want to clear up – under our plan, no federal dollars will be used to fund abortions,” Obama claimed.

Under the Senate health care bill that will be the main bill Obama and Democrats push through Congress, there is no ban on abortion funding. Wile some states can opt out of funding abortions under the plan, taxpayers in other states will be forced to pay for them.

But the bill contains other pro-abortion problems that are concerns for pro-life advocates.

The bill requires that at least one health care plan be promoted across the country that pays for abortions, more abortion funding would come via the affordability credits, and many of the so-called limits on abortion funding in the Senate bill are temporary and could expire or be overturned at a later date.

The Senate health care bill also pays for abortions under the Indian Health Service program.

And it contains the Mikulski amendment that would allow the Obama administration to define abortion as preventative care and force insurance plans to pay for abortions.

Finally, the Senate bill does not contain language needed to offer full conscience protection for pro-life medical workers and facilities."

What do you think is the practical thing to do to reduce abortion?

Get a healthcare bill passed that doesn’t have those provisions.

Abortion is usually not the deal breaker with pro-choice politicians. Many pro lifers have abortion as the end all and do all of issues, so being anti- abortion sometimes puts us in a frame of mind that doesn’t realize the issue is not as important to others as it is to us.

If we support the pro teachings of Jesus aspects of the bill and lobby against the abortion aspects then something better than the healthcare mess we have now is likely to result.

Its not like the present healthcare insurance system is pro-life. Never mind the unborn innocents having no standing, most insured get treated with little respect for their lives.

Peace

The above assumes the bill actually is supportive of the teachings of Jesus; a doubtful proposition in my view.

It is of no consequence to me that others don’t see the issue of abortion as being as important as it is to me. It is my moral duty to oppose it, root and branch.

If the bill is more supportive of people than insurance companies and if it saves a life that wouldn’t be saved because of lack of insurance it would be supportive of the teachings of Jesus.

One of the consequences of not lobbying for an anti abortion version of a bill that looks like it may pass might be that we end up with a bill stripped of the anti abortion measures. Biting off ones nose to spite ones face is not always a good tact to take.

Not if it supports abortion.

This bill will cut Medicare benefits for people who are not in a position to “work harder” to pay for their medical costs or take a job that has insurance.

This bill will increase taxes during a recession. Don’t we have enough jobless people now?

This bill will not cover everyone.

This bill will increase the cost of coverage for those who do have coverage now. Some will be able to afford it, some won’t.

This bill will ultimately increase the deficit enormously. Some people who owe money will find their debts impossible to pay when interest rates spike as a result.

This bill increases government dependency; something the Popes have warned against.

Finally, your last comment assumes good faith on the part of the most abortion-oriented government in this nation’s history. It is, in my opinion, unrealistic to believe there will not be permissive loopholes in any pretended “prohibition” of abortion funding they adopt.

Get a grip? The original poster relayed important information regarding the healthcare bill. She was met with comments like “sick of the lies and deceit” and “stop at no ends.” There is some major miscommunication and lack of transparency going on here between passionate people, some of whom are very wrong. All we need to do is seek the Truth. But, a certain group of you-know-who’s are trying to say that there are no universal truths. What are we left with if they succeed in duping the people into believing that there are no universal truths? Answer: the rulers enforce their beliefs on the people, which is what we’re witnessing now. This is history in the making. What’s so sad is that some people can’t even see the Truth. The mainstream media is making it intentionally non-transparent. The heads of media have the power to influence people who aren’t willing to see things from a fair and balanced perspective.

If this bill isn’t passed, some people could needlessly die. Would you want that on your conscience?
