Obama Scraps President's Bioethics Council After Forcing Embryonic Funding

The President’s Council on Bioethics is no more. With a one-day notice, the members were told in a letter from the President that their services were no longer required. Pack up, get out. Forget the fact that they had a couple of interesting reports coming out soon, one more meeting, and that the Council’s tenure would expire come this September.

It’s above his paygrade. And he doesn’t want to learn about, either. He only wants scientists to destroy embryos - to destroy human beings. He only wants to violate the conscience of healthcare providers, by forcing them to provide abortions against their religious beliefs. That’s not above his paygrade…

Hmmm… the New York Times, in an article from last week, mentioned that the members had been given notice during the prior week. So it seems they had two weeks notice, and not one day.

Apparently, President Obama is dumping Bush’s appointees so that he can create a new Bioethics commission.

Seems to me that the only way in which President Obama can use the word “bioethics” is euphemistically.
