Obama Spokesman Falsely Claims Hyde Amdt Stops Abortion in Health Care

Washington, DC – White House spokesman Robert Gibbs mislead reporters today during his afternoon press briefing with a false claim that the Hyde amendment would prohibit taxpayer-funding of abortions in the Congressional health care bills. However, the long-standing law does not apply to the legislation.

No and what is worse if it false under health care then access will be necessary. That means abortion clinics every few miles.

Folks call your rep and tell them there needs to be a line that explicity states no abortion, no euthansia, no embryonic stem cell research.

We must leave nothing to chance because you know they will exploit any loopholes.
 
What this article forgets to mention is that the Hyde Amendent was renewed this year with the Stimulous Package in Feburary.

This specifically says anything coming out of the HHS Department can not include funding for abortion.
