Dying trying to attend mass isn’t beautiful to you guys?If you’re trying to be funny, the humor is lost to me.
Martyrdom is not something to be taken lightly.

Not to be, no.Dying trying to attend mass isn’t beautiful to you guys?
It’s beautiful dying to go see the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords instead of living in fear in your home that you might die going to see Jesus Christ, the Son of God and to receive Him in the Most Holy EucharistNot to be, no.
Treating God’s gift of life, both yours and that of others, so cavalierly is many things to me, but beautiful isn’t one of them. What kind of loving God would want you to do that?
And the innocent people you take with you, some of whom may not be going to see the King of Kings? Do you think “beautiful” is the way they and their family would see your decision? It’s beautiful dying to go see the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords instead of living in fear in your home that you might die going to see Jesus Christ, the Son of God and to receive Him in the Most Holy Eucharist
And what if you saved them because you were out?And the innocent people you take with you, some of whom may not be going to see the King of Kings? Do you think “beautiful” is the way they and their family would see your decision?
How do you save someone by driving to Mass? “I’ve lived a life of sin and refused to listen to the saving Word of God, no matter who told me of it, but because I see someone taking his life and mine into his hands by driving to Mass when anyone with any sense would be staying home, I’ll turn myself over to God?”And what if you saved them because you were out?
I was just trying to play the what if game and show how dumb it is the focus should be on what you are doing plus I meant like a car flipped over and no one was out to help because of the conditions all that. And no it’s not a sin to try to go to mass and dying that’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard and it’s not a sin not to go either I was just saying death happens it’s beautiful to die trying to make it to mass and that’s where I will be everyday of the rest of my life rain, sleet, or snow. How do you save someone by driving to Mass? “I’ve lived a life of sin and refused to listen to the saving Word of God, no matter who told me of it, but because I see someone taking his life and mine into his hands by driving to Mass when anyone with any sense would be staying home, I’ll turn myself over to God?”
No, it’s a lot more likely that you’ll kill or seriously injure someone else and turn him and all his family members AWAY from God.
Besides, there’s a good probability that it’s a sin to throw away the life God gave you by not taking the necessary precautions to safeguard it.
The chance that you would “save someone” by being out in a winter storm is much less than that you would wreck yourself and/or others by driving a car in that weather. And what if you saved them because you were out?
That would be true if the danger of death could not have been foreseen. In this case, however, there the obligation to attend Mass is dispensed and the obligation to preserve life remains. If you really think you are endangering the life of anyone by driving to Mass, STAY HOME!!It’s beautiful dying to go see the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords instead of living in fear in your home that you might die going to see Jesus Christ, the Son of God and to receive Him in the Most Holy Eucharist
I’ll still be going to mass no matter what the weather is and no one’s going to stop me. I know my obligation is dispensed I don’t need to be obligated to go to mass I don’t care if I have to crawl to get thereThat would be true if the danger of death could not have been foreseen. If you can go out driving around in awful weather without posing a danger to yourself or anyone else, then sure, go to Mass and, if you see someone who needs saving, save them instead of going to Mass. The duty to see to their urgent and serious need would also dispense you from your obligation.
