Obligations or lack there of on Nov 1

November 1 is All Saints day and there is no obligation to attend mass because it occurs on a Monday. I was wondering if the obligation to rest from unnecessary work is also not obligatory. Thanks.
 
You are correct if you attend the OF Mass and the modern calender. But we follow the EF Mass and the old calender. October 31 is Feast of Christ the King, November 1, is All Saints and a Holy Day of Obligation, and November 2, is All Souls Day. Exciting 3 days for us.
