I recently found a symbol that I have no idea what it all means. It is a 7 pointed star which I did discover refers to the seven days of creation and has been used as a symbol of protection which is why many sheriff’s badges are 7 pointed. But inside each point are the letters VDSFHGB and I have no clue what these mean. Thought or insights?

that is a stretch

The lettering may be the initials to the words of a prayer, perhaps in Latin.

7-pointed stars have been used as many symbols. It could stand for 7 deadly sins, for 7 virtues, etc. In fact it is also the “Commonwealth Star” - A Symbol of Australia

V D S F H G B… no ideas.

Don’t you mean 6 days of creation? There was no creating on the 7th day!

The seven pointed star is usually associated with the Pagan Egyptian goddess Isis. It stands for the seven sisters stars where her palace is in the heavens and her seven aspects as a goddess: virgin, mother, crone, warrior, queen, etc.

It’s also symbolic of Faereie Magick. Just as the pentagram represents man, Arms legs and head, In Faerie magick, the seven pointed star is called “The Faerie Star” and Represents Arms, legs, head and wings. Yes, there is a class of real live magickians who take faeries seriously.
