Is there any significance to your name “Black Dog”?
yes but nothing to do with this…I spent a number of years living on a remote Scottish island where the language spoken was Scots Gaelic. I named my spaniel Cuillean Dubh (Anglised spelling) which more or less translates as Black Dog.

Had a very peaceful nights sleep…little wonder considering all these prayers. Today will I think be a big day.

About 6 months ago, our parish was visited by an elderly retired priest whom I offered to drive back to his home town. He sensed something about me too and attempted a prayer of exorcism in the car park where I dropped him off. At the time I thought nothing of it and just assumed he was eccentric…if not barking mad…

My friend in Christ, have you thought about purchasing a St. Benedict medal and getting it exorcised and blessed? the St. Benedict medal is especially for people who are going through spiritual battles against fallen angels. Most exorcist’s have this medal in the center of their crucifix while doing exorcism’s. ITS THE MOST HIGHLY INDULGENCED MEDAL OF THE ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. Please read this page to understand more about the medal and its meaning. osb.org/gen/medal.html

Also St. Benedict is the patron Saint of Exorcists, read about him if you can aswell. I took his name for confirmation because I was having spiritual battles aswell. Our Pope, Benedict XVI the present Vicar of Christ has been the pope to express the clear need for exorcists which was beggining to be thought of as childishness in the church. Please try to invoke St. Benedict, St. Michael, ST. JOSEPH and THE BLESSED VIRGIN MARY they are all powerful warriors who fight for you alongside Our Saviour Jesus Christ who said “Behold, I have given you the power to tread upon serpents and scorpions”.

Been a strange day. There was a Service of Word and Communion which I attended this morning. I think I was a bit distraught by the time I got there. I felt very emotional and when I approached the Deacon for a blessing I just started to shake uncontrollably and starting sobbing like a kid. It was awful and so embarrassing. I just went back to my pew and a sat with my face hidden in my hands waiting for the service to finish and for everyone to go so that I could slip out.
The Deacon approached me and I apologised for reacting so intensely. He was so kind and ended up saying yet another prayer of exorcism over me. It calmed me down and I went home to get ready for a meeting with the priest.

i was dreading that. By now I was so highly strung and freaked out I just didnt know how I was going to react. The priest was brilliant. He played the whole thing down which was exactly what I needed. Had he started throwing Holy Water at me I think they would have carted me off to a funny farm. Instead I came away feeling soberingly normal…totally emotionally drained but normal. Thank goodness.

I’m glad you found this place of peace. I don’t know what time it is where you are, but I pray that the Lord will surround you with His love and grant you a restful, untroubled night.

**God is a fire that warms and kindles the heart and inward parts. Hence, if we feel in our hearts the cold which comes from the devil - for the devil is cold - let us call on the Lord. He will come to warm our hearts with perfect love, not only for Him but also for our neighbor, and the cold of him who hates the good will flee before the heat of His countenance. **
