have you prepared well if possible sit in the Church and ask Jesus to reveal your sins and write it down or have you made a general confession any time especially against the 10 Commandments.

Before celebrating the Sacrament of Penance, one should prepare oneself with an examination of conscience, which involves reflecting prayerfully on one’s thoughts, words, and deeds in order to identify any sins.

There are various types of examinations of conscience but regardless of which one you use to prepare yourself for the Sacrament it should be rooted in Scripture; particularly, the Ten Commandments and Beatitudes. Below are a few examples of Examinations of Conscience that can help you prepare for the Sacrament.

And none of which is probably a good idea for our poster, without the guidance of a priest!

People.

Do not tell him to go to Confession.
Do not tell him to examine his conscience.
Do not even tell him to pray.

There are only TWO things you must tell him. Only TWO and nothing else.
  1. See your doctor.
  2. See your priest.
Nothing else is good for him.

If he needs to examine his conscience, his priest will tell him.
If he needs to go to confession, his priest will direct him.
If he needs to take meds, his doctor will tell him.
If he needs to pray, his priest will tell him what to pray.

To keep CAF from being an occasion of harm for the OCD sufferers, we all need to shut the hell up.

I’m sorry you’re struggling so much. Is there anyone offline you can speak to about it? They will be able to help you much more than we can.

This is exactly right. Listen to your Priest, psychologist, therapist. They all know you and will give you advice specific to your situation. Follow their guidance.

This is why we recommend coming away from CAF if you’re struggling. It may be that well intentioned posters actually have suggestions that make you feel worse, or give you something else to obsess over. It’s not good to put yourself in that situation.

Seek professional help. There’s no on-line solution to your problem.

However, you can write a letter to the writers explaining how they should not have killed off that character.

There’s no need to threaten or think of ways to do violence to anyone.

Expressing one’s feeling is quite cathartic–even if just on screen or on paper that you destroy as soon as you finish expressing yourself.

Remember, the whole idea is to release that which weighs you down; do not use profanity or violence as the means to convey your thoughts.

Get into some hobby (painting, drawing, writing) or activities that would help express yourself in a positive way.

Finally, stay away from programs that will compel you to immerse yourself into the characters.

Pray for deliverance as I will pray for your peace of mind.

Read the book ‘Unbound’ by Neal Lozano.

It is a catholic book about how to pray for healthy thought patterns. (Neal is a catholic in the deliverance ministry, and is nephew of Catholic priest exorcist Fr Michael Scanlon).

It may be an idea, so sit down and rewrite the ending you would have preffered for this series. (As closure for yourself). And when finished go to an Adoration Chapel, read it silently in your mind to Jesus, asking Him to help you let go of these OCD thoughts, and leave it all with Jesus, leave all the characters with Jesus,

And Leave these story characters with their happy ending that you have written.

Obligatory:
Talk to a priest.
Talk to your therapist.

Would writing some fanfiction with an ending you prefer make it better or worse? If that sounds like a good idea maybe run it by the therapist first. I don’t know if that project would unreasonably submerse you back into the story.

Going forward, do you have a friend that has similar interests who could sort of screen shows for you and recommend them or warn that they contain plotlines that are too much?

I found a small older 24 page booklet recently called “Help for Scrupulous” or some such written by a Redemptorist priest I thought about scanning and posting here. Let me know if anyone would be interested in it.

Hey Retro_Ace .I’ll remember you in my prayers,
take care and God bless.

Unfortunately writers of big entertainment industry aren’t that responsive, perhaps back in Rooster Teeth’s infancy as a garage based studio would be possible, but their so big now the last time I sen’t them a letter I never heard back from them.

I would never threaten them, I would never try to hurt anyone, honestly as raging those thoughts get I would never be able to bring myself to do it. I even told my family about my thoughts and they said “Your way too kind of a person to do that, your thoughts are not you” My grandmother even told me a time when her friend left her abusive ex and due to both families being Jehovas Witnesses shuned her and then her ex used her credit card to debt the poor girl so while calming her down she joked about crazy revenge plots to help her release the negativity

I have been writing a response to RWBY, Lorekeeper. A lot of sucessful stories had been reconstructions of what has been deconstructed, look at the Incredibles

As for Immersion I had been looking to shows/anime/whatevers that were already over and looked on their wikis on how it ends before I get involved with it. I try to be wiser with what I watch now.

My therapist advises me not to write the fan-fiction just yet, he and my family agrees that although I should eventually do, I’m too fragile to do so now and return once I am stronger not to be swayed and bullied by the toxic fandom or let something as trivial as “fictional canon” to distress me. Seriously fictional canon is treated way too seriously, its one thing to call the true original work and not making money off it without permission, but to treat someone making their own version as “selfish” or “never really happened” is ridiculous.

Fortunately Soul Eater has been one of the better substitutes, their faith, friendship, the possible romantic relationship between the two main characters, and fighting madness and fear I found strangely therapeutic. My Hero Academia is also a breath of fresh air that while does do tragedy and darkness, is not something obnoxious as RWBY, the tragedy often dealt with is non-death related but still traumatic something I am strong enough to endure.

Plus Tragic Romance has always been kryptonite to me, I just cant handle it.

The intent is not so much geared towards getting a response (revision in their program/s and attitudes); the intent is to afford you a release. However the world may turn, you should be able to express your concerns for a better/gentler one.
I would never threaten them, I would never try to hurt anyone, honestly as raging those thoughts get I would never be able to bring myself to do it.
Again, my concern is not judgment (is this person violent or has a tendency to commit violence?); my concern is that you do not inflict more pain and anguish onto yourself by acting out (even if just in a virtual reality) episodes of violence–as Jesus warned we are not what we eat but what our hearts stores in the depths of our being. A good heart will provide treasures out of its bounty–a bad… well we all know where that ends, right?

Excellent! Another thing that you should try (don’t know if you already do) is to engage those who have your interest; the more you immerse yourself into a program/thing the more you get hooked/emotionally attached (this happens with anything in which we invest time and emotions–I once wrote a scathing communiqué (yeah, the term makes it sound so much more than a letter) when a show I watched was brought to a incomprehensible ending (there were so many unresolved/unexplored tangents that the show could have gone on for years–instead, it was killed in a most anticlimactic fashion)–I felt relieved… then they made a movie (sort of) redefining the ending–don’t know if the movie was already in the works or if fan mail/response had anything to do with it… regardless of it, I promised myself not to get so emotionally attached to characters, plots, movies, programs…

Sadly, this is one of those “drama” fountains–they force-pump drama into things even past the point of gag-effect!
