Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today is the 101st Anniversary of the 6th and last Fatima Apparition which occurred in 1917. Much has been written about Fatima, but this morning I discovered something I had not realized:

Mary also appeared to Sister Agnes Sasagawa in a convent in Akita, Japan, on this Anniversary , Oct. 13, in 1973. As Sr. Agnes knelt in the chapel to pray the Rosary, Our Lady said:
The work of the devil will infiltrate even into the Church in such a way that one will see cardinals opposing cardinals, bishops against bishops. The priests who venerate me will be scorned and opposed by their confreres… churches and altars sacked; the Church will be full of those who accept compromises and the demon will press many priests and consecrated souls to leave the service of the Lord.

The demon will be especially implacable against souls consecrated to God. The thought of the loss of so many souls is the cause of my sorrow. If sins increase in number and gravity, there will be no longer pardon for them… – for full article, see HERE
A few other excerpts from the article:
…Bishop John Shojiro Ito who had formally declared approval for the Akita apparitions called Akita “an update of Fatima and its promise.”
…Writing about the latter times, St. Louis de Montfort explained, “Mary must shine forth more than ever in mercy, power and grace; in mercy, to bring back and welcome lovingly the poor sinners and wanderers who are to be converted and return to the Catholic Church; in power, to combat the enemies of God who will rise up menacingly to seduce and crush by promises and threats all those who oppose them; finally, she must shine forth in grace to inspire and support the valiant soldiers and loyal servants of Jesus Christ who are fighting for his cause.”
Today and everyday, by God’s Grace may we heed Mary’s words to pray the Rosary daily. Let us pray today on this Anniversary also in reparation for all who have not yet begun to pray the Rosary and pray it fervently for all those in Most need of God’s Mercy.

Have a Mercy on us Oh Lord for we have sinned against you! Let us see your face and we shall be saved and you shall renew the face of the Earth 🌏

We need to take a real long hard look at that message from Our Lady to Sr. Sasagawa. And then realize that this is already happening. Cardinals are opposing Cardinals, bishops against bishops. The Church is full of those who accept compromises. Anyone who fails to see this has their head in the sand. The Church needs our prayers perhaps as never before. Pray…pray…pray!!!

I learned something today - at least I think I did …
At 39:40 of the movie -
Juanita - danced in the prison cell …
Is that true ?

Wonderful share !
I can just imagine the size difference between the two.
That prisoner - had to go to Heaven !
Who can boast - of such a wonderful expression - in such a situation !

Here’s Our Lady of Fatima, being besieged by her faithful fans right outside her apparition site chapel, one year ago today.
(I took this myself)

Your comment violates the TOS as it is disrespectful of the Catholic faith. I have flagged it.

In case this needs to be said, we do not worship the statue. We venerate (changed because I incorrectly used word “worship” which gives wrong impression; my mistake as “worship” is directed to God) our mother Mary, whom Jesus gave to us in Scripture, to be our mother.

Greetings, samsome. I read that you are a Christian - you did not specify “Catholic” Christian, so I’m presuming you are not Catholic, but I hope you will read this [Catholic] Catechism teaching anyway, to set up my comments to you following the citation:
Catechism 971 “All generations will call me blessed”: “The Church’s devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian worship.”<Lk 1:48; Paul VI, MC 56> The Church rightly honors “the Blessed Virgin with special devotion. From the most ancient times the Blessed Virgin has been honored with the title of ‘Mother of God,’ to whose protection the faithful fly in all their dangers and needs… This very special devotion … differs essentially from the adoration which is given to the incarnate Word and equally to the Father and the Holy Spirit, and greatly fosters this adoration.”<LG 66> The liturgical feasts dedicated to the Mother of God and Marian prayer, such as the rosary, an “epitome of the whole Gospel,” express this devotion to the Virgin Mary.<Cf. Paul VI, MC 42; SC 103>
Please note the teaching says, “The Church’s devotion to the Blessed Virgin is intrinsic to Christian worship.” The Scriptural note for this statement is Lk 1:48, in the passage from “Mary’s Song of Praise: The Magnificat” (RSV):
Lk 1:46 And Mary said, "My soul magnifies the Lord,
Lk 1:47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,
Lk 1:48 for he has regarded the low estate of his handmaiden. For behold, henceforth all generations will call me blessed;
Lk 1:49 for he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.
Note “all generations will call me blessed,” because “he who is mighty has done great things for me, and holy is his name.”

All generations will call her blessed by God, the Holy One, who chose her and did great things for her.

God could have come into the world in many ways - many - but He chose to come as He did, through Mary. He chose her, He caused her to be fitting in the way that He did, and He came, in the Son, through her personal human being.

ALL who understand the truly supernatural, completely unique and unrepeated “great things” that He did in her, and through her, to and for her, DO and WILL see and proclaim to the glory of God, her “blessedness” from now into eternity.

This is as far from “idolatry” as Holy Truth IS.

I had no idea of this apparition. Thank you for sharing.
Is there a website where I can learn everything about our beautiful faith, it seems there is no end to the richness as I always discover something new.
I would love to have a moment to read through a website that lists all the apparitions of our Blessed Mother. Im sure there is one, if I could only have a good chunk of time and energy.

For an overview of major Marian apparitions, a good place to start is always the Miracle Hunter website, miraclehunter.com .

The three most well-known approved apparitions of Mary are Our Lady of Lourdes (St. Bernadette Soubirous), Our Lady of Fatima (Sts. Francisco and Jacinta Marto and Servant of God Lucia dos Santos), and Our Lady of Guadalupe (St. Juan Diego). Those are the Big Three. There are other approved Marian apparitions, some of which we do not hear much about, and other apparitions like Garabandal and Medjugorje that have not been approved by the Church and that we cannot talk about on here.

When reading about Fatima, be very careful what you read, because there are many people who interpret the message of Fatima in a manner critical of the Pope or the post-Vatican II church, and also many who push conspiracy theories about the “third secret of Fatima”.

Just to add on, I like the Fatima material taken first hand from Sr. Lucia’s own words. She was one of the child visionaries. The other two died as children but Our Lady said Lucia would live a little while longer - I think she lived to be 100 or close to that. She was a very holy nun and reading her first hand accounts keeps from getting the excess “spin” from the “middleman”.

So, the other 2, Francisco and Jacinta died from the Spanish flu of that era, not long after the apparitions, within a few years.

So, largely, we had only Lucia’s word and then, I don’t believe the words of Our Lady were released until 1929.

I do wonder about the timeline some. That was well-after the Russian revolution.

Pope Pius XII reportedly, saw the Miracle of the Sun in the Vatican gardens.

And I think it was more than one time.

A lot of witnesses and most saw the Miracle and some saw it from far away. I’ve read every book on it I can and, anyone who can should go to the Fatima First Saturday all night vigils if able.

The best book I read was by a convert to Catholicism, he was a World War II vet who became a hollywood movie producer. So, his account was very good. I think it is called something like “Song of the Shepherds” or “The Sheperds Song”, I can’t readily find it. I believe Father Fox’s Fatima aposolate initially published the book.
