Dear Brothers and Sisters,

Today is the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. How grateful I am to this saint for his great love and example! His “Greetings”, his “Praises” of Mary:
Saint Francis’s Greetings to the Blessed Virgin
Hail, Lady and Queen,
holy Mary, Mother of God,
Virgin who became the Church,
chosen by the Father in heaven,
consecrated by his beloved Son
and his Spirit, the Comforter:
in you was and remains,
the whole fullness of grace
and everything that is good.
Hail, his palace,
hail, his tabernacle,
hail, his dwelling,
hail, his robe,
hail, his handmaid,
hail, his mother!
O holy Mother,
sweet and fair to see,
for us beseech the King,
your dearest Son,
our Lord Jesus Christ,
to death for us delivered:
that in his pitying clemency,
and by virtue of his most holy incarnation
and bitter death,
he may pardon our sins.
Holy Virgin Mary,
among all the women of the world,
there is none like you.
You are the daughter and handmaid of the most high King,
Father of heaven.
You are the mother of our most holy Lord Jesus Christ.
You are the bride of the Holy Spirit.
Pray for us, with St. Michael the archangel,
and all the powers of heaven
and all the saints,
to your most holy and beloved Son,
our Lord and Master, Amen.
May Our Blessed Mother and all the saints intercede for the Church today, and especially for Pope Francis, with the Bishops in Rome, for the Synod on the Family Oct 4 - 25.

St. Francis of Assisi, pray for us! Mary, Queen of Heaven, pray for us!

Thanks for your reply and for your love of Mary, dear liturgy96!

Please don’t forget to pray for God’s special blessings on the Synod in Rome (Oct 4 - 25)! Mary, Mother of the Church, pray for us. St. Francis, to whom God said: “Rebuild my Church”, pray for Pope Francis and all those involved in the Synod on the Family.

Prayer of St Francis.

Lord make me an instrument of your peace,
where there is injury, let me sow love,
where there is injury, pardon,
where there is faith, doubt,
where there is despair, hope,
where there is darkness, light,
where there is sadness, joy.

Oh Divine Master, grant that I may not seek to be consoled as to console,
to be understood as to understand,
to be loved as to love.

For it is in giving that we receive,
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned,
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

St Francis of Assisi pray for us all.

Mary. Mother of God, Our Mother, Pray for us! :gopray2:
Dear CatholicFireman,

Thanks for the picture of the ring. I’m presuming it is yours 🙂 The crucifix in the middle of the letter “M” for Mary is a beautiful sign of the Total Consecration of St. Louis De Montfort – “Totus Tuus”. I try to repeat that short form: “O Mary, my Queen and my Mother, I am all yours, and all that I have is your yours. Keep me guard me as your property and possession.” often during each day.

To give all to Mary is the same as giving All to Jesus, as St. Louis wrote when we say “Mary” she says “God”. Even more beautiful is the offering of anything made more beautiful going to Him by her hands. St. Francis of Assisi and all the saints grew in their love for Mary as they grew in their love for Jesus. The closer I come to Mary the more I see the Church’s need for her and why Jesus on the cross told all of us through John, the beloved disciple: “Behold your Mother.”

May the Holy Spirit guide Pope Francis and this Synod on the Family!

Dear CF,

How good to know you have made your consecration to Mary and have joined the Association of Mary, Queen of All Hearts! By God’s Grace, may we live our total consecration more fervently every day until we meet Jesus and Mary in eternity, where we shall live forever!
